Resources
DEEL has a wide range of artefacts and resources available
to buy and to loan.
Using artefacts and resources within the classroom is a
great way to bring topics to life to engage pupils and, when
used sensitively, can also inspire critical thinking,
exploration of values and challenging of stereotypes.
We are constantly reviewing and updating our collection to
ensure we have resources available for all key stages, sixth
form and adults.
Our work incorporates a variety of visual, interactive and
experiential learning methods including storytelling, drama,
group work, role plays, interpreting photos, questioning &
discussion and has been specifically designed to enable
young people to:
Develop a sense of themselves as part of a wider world and
of different cultures and places.
Learn about the similarities and differences between
people and places around the world and about disparities in
the world.
Develop their sense of social justice and moral
responsibility.
Begin to understand that their own choices can affect
global issues as well as local ones.
Ready to use resource with everyday items from
Ghana that will challenge and inspire pupils to see links
between themselves and people in another part of the world.
